RPS hosted a successful Valkie Rugby Day on Saturday at Benoni Northerns. Well done to our u’7 and u’8 boys who played like stars. Heartfelt thanks to Mr McCallum for organising such a great event. Our Valkie boys have played with heart, spirit and courage their entire season and we are very proud of them. Special thanks to all the coaches – your hard work and commitment is appreciated.

The end of Controlled Tests is in sight for our seniors. The learners in Grades 4 wrote their last tests on Friday and the Grade 7 learners wrote their last test today. A reminder that today is the last day for School to close at 13:00. As of Tuesday, 10 June we will revert back to normal School closing times.

Term 1 has been a short, but incredibly busy term. Well done to the Staff and Learners for all their hard work, whether in the classroom, sportsfield or in the pool. You have done us proud.

The A team competed at the Inter-Primary A league swimming gala on Wednesday, 12 March. Our swimmers put on a star-studded performance and once again, finished victorious. The RPS A TEAM have held the Individual League Gala title since 2018. This is such an impressive accomplishment.

We have a week to go before Carnival Spectacular on Saturday, 15 March. A huge bouquet of thanks to all the parents who have supported our annual fundraiser. The last day for incentives is on Friday, 14 March. A sponsorship form was sent out to parents last week. A separate letter will be sent home, detailing all the fantastic activities on the day.

Our fundraiser, Carnival Spectacular, concludes in 2 weeks time. The last day for incentives will be on Friday, 14 March. All monies collected will be used to upgrade the bathroom facilities.

Greater Benoni athletics was postponed due to the excessive rain that we experienced last week. The event is taking place today, 24 February, at Benoni High School. We wish our 37 athletes every success. Go out and give it your all.
