Thank you to all the Intersen Phase parents and guardians who attended Orientation/Parents’ Evenings last week.
Once again we had an excellent response from our parents.

As we mentioned, education is very much a collaborative process. We encourage an ethos of working together for the benefit of the child. As they say it takes a village to raise a child and every stakeholder in that village needs to play his or her role.

This is the time of the year that as parents, you need to encourage your children to get involved in the extra-mural activities at the School, to set goals for the term ahead and monitor them as the weeks go by and to set the routine for doing homework.

Welcome Back! As our School’s key word for 2026, “Believe” reminds us that progress begins in the mind before it appears in our actions. When we believe, we open the door to growth, courage and possibility.

Term 1 has been a short, but incredibly busy term. Well done to the Staff and Learners for all their hard work, whether in the classroom, sportsfield or in the pool. You have done us proud.

The A team competed at the Inter-Primary A league swimming gala on Wednesday, 12 March. Our swimmers put on a star-studded performance and once again, finished victorious. The RPS A TEAM have held the Individual League Gala title since 2018. This is such an impressive accomplishment.

We have a week to go before Carnival Spectacular on Saturday, 15 March. A huge bouquet of thanks to all the parents who have supported our annual fundraiser. The last day for incentives is on Friday, 14 March. A sponsorship form was sent out to parents last week. A separate letter will be sent home, detailing all the fantastic activities on the day.

Our fundraiser, Carnival Spectacular, concludes in 2 weeks time. The last day for incentives will be on Friday, 14 March. There are still some children who need to bring back their forms with their sponsorship. To all the parents who have supported the fundraiser thus far – our heartfelt thanks. All monies collected will be used to upgrade the bathroom facilities.

Greater Benoni athletics was postponed due to the excessive rain that we experienced last week. The event is taking place today, 24 February, at Benoni High School. We wish our 37 athletes every success. Go out and give it your all.
