RPS EXPRESS 2nd Edition, 2025
Dear Parents, Learners and Friends.
As we reflect on the past term, I am filled with great pride and gratitude for all that our school has achieved. It has been an incredible term — one marked by sporting triumphs, academic growth, cultural activities and community engagement.
Our sporting calendar was packed with exciting fixtures and events that showcased the talent, teamwork, and perseverance of our young sportsmen and women. From the roaring energy on the rugby and netball fields to the quiet brilliance on the chess boards, our learners wore their colours with pride.
Our school’s results — including being named runner-up for Best Sport School of the Year, our u’13A netball team finishing 3rd overall in the Ekurhuleni region, u’10A netball team were runners up in D6 play-offs and our u’10 rugby boys winning the A2 rugby league — are a testament to their hard work and sportsmanship.
The term started with the re-awarding of red blazers to Ava Bosch and Gio Cocci for swimming was such an honor. Congratulations to Clayton Kewley who made the Valke rugby VKB side for Craven Week and Faith Ani for being selected as part of the Gauteng Netball Squad.
Culturally, this term was just as busy, competing in Chess Tournaments and Speech Competitions. Events like the Grade 1 Picnic and Carnival Spectacular not only brought families together, but also reminded us of the power of unity and support within our school family.
To our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and enthusiastic learners — thank you. It is through your commitment and collaboration that we continue to grow as a school of excellence with character and heart.
Mr Dirk Bloem
